Scientific Illustration
Welcome to my studio
As a doctor of natural sciences with experience in both research and teaching, I specialize in creating high-quality scientific illustrations that make complex research visually accessible to institutes and publishers, tailored for education.
Beyond my applied illustration work, I translate emotions and structures into free fine art, combining different media like photography, oil, and charcoal.

Contemporary Fine Art
Grounded in my background in natural sciences, my independent artistic practice explores the subtle order and intricate logic of nature.
Focusing primarily on charcoal and graphite, I translate botanical structures and growth patterns into reduced, monochromatic artwork. Each piece explores the fine gradations of light and shadow, combining scientific observation with a quiet, meditative visual language. These drawings invite viewers to slow down and discover the essential within reduction.
Where my charcoal drawings embrace stark contrast, my color works turn towards abstraction. I combine traditional painting with photography, using oil and acrylics to capture fluid emotions and dreamlike atmospheres. These textured pieces reveal the hidden structures and transient beauty of the natural world.
